Four Killed in Oshkosh Air Show Aircraft Crash: Four people were killed and two injured after two aircraft accidents on Saturday in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, shortly before an air show at the annual AirVenture convention.

Vintage Military Training Craft Crashes into Lake

Two individuals died when a North American T-6, a historical military training plane, crashed into Lake Winnebago around 9 a.m. The Coast Guard recovered the bodies later in the night, and several other agencies, including the Oshkosh Fire Department, responded to the scene.

Helicopter and Gyrocopter Collide Midair

Around noon, a RotorWay 162F helicopter and an ELA 10 Eclipse gyrocopter collided in midair near Wittman Regional Airport, resulting in two deaths. Both aircraft were associated with event attendees but were not part of the air show.

Two Injured in Midair Collision

In addition to the fatalities in the collision, two people were injured and taken to a local hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities Withhold Victims’ Names

The names of the deceased have not yet been released as authorities are notifying the families.
